With so many options available in the UK, clearly it will be crucial to try and find UK boarding schools that are within your planned budget. The fees listed in this article should be considered indicative, there is a huge amount of variation amongst schools in the sector. This post is for overseas parents who will be considering the best British boarding schools for international students and will likely be selecting full-boarding options with the student requiring a visa to study.
You will find UK boarding schools will charge between £30,000 per year to £50,000 per year for full boarding options. In most cases, this will include the following elements:

It is worth noting there are a significant number of the top UK private schools that will separate their fees into tuition and boarding fees. In terms of your expenses, this makes little difference and the total annual cost should be within the £30,000 to £50,000 per year price range. As always, we recommend speaking to an experienced counsellor with admissions experience as there may be certain circumstances where this differentiation becomes significant. For example, some of our clients have employers who will cover the cost of schooling, but not accommodation. You will find UK boarding schools generally invoice on a termly (semester) basis and there are three terms per academic year (so your first invoice may be a third of the annual fee). Some UK boarding schools also allow payments to be split into 10 direct debit payments - we recommend speaking to a counsellor as to how this may work as it may entail setting up a UK bank account.
The above will constitute the bulk of your outlay.
